Today’s Remo Ambassador is the undisputed king of the batter heads. But for cats who want something a little less modern – something a little more Ringo on Ed Sullivan – there’s the Remo Vintage Ambassador drumhead. This 2-ply head is faithful to the very first Weatherking Ambassador from 1957 with 7.5-mil and 3-mil films. The added thickness and layering make Remo Vintage Ambassadors fatter and more controlled than modern As, but lighter and more sensitive than coated Emperors. The added ply also results in better durability.
