Celebrate in Style with the PRS S2 10th Anniversary McCarty 594 Electric Guitar in Dark Cherry Sunburst
Only 1,000 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 Limited Edition instruments will be made.
The S2 Series began in 2013 to provide players with the fit, feel, and attention to detail of PRS craftsmanship in a fresh, straightforward design. Since its introduction, the Series has grown from three models to more than a dozen options for players – one of the most recent introductions being the S2 McCarty 594. The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 has been specially appointed to celebrate the Series’ milestone occasion and to deliver more tone, more beauty, and more value than ever before.
- PRS Two-Piece Bridge – Made of zinc and brass, this bridge has four contact points and added mass, enhancing the natural tone of the guitar and helping to create a more resonant instrument.
- PRS 58/15 LT Pickups – “Low turn” pickups with vintage warm, clear tone.
- Vintage-Style Tuners – Traditional closed-back tuners engineered to promote resonance.
The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 builds on the original specs of the S2 McCarty 594, retaining a maple top, mahogany back, 24.594” scale length, 22-fret Pattern Vintage neck, PRS two-piece bridge, and vintage-style tuners. Special appointments include: a Cuban mahogany neck, mother of pearl bird inlays, and – most notably – USA-made PRS 58/15 LT pickups and electronics. PRS 58/15 LT (“low turn”) pickups are vintage-inspired pickups with exceptional clarity. Designed to capture the sweetness of vintage single coils and the warmth of late 1950’s humbuckers and fine-tuned using the PRS TCI process, these pickups are lively and open with focused midrange and balanced treble and bass.
Meaning “Stevensville 2,” the S2 Series was named for a second manufacturing line that was created inside the PRS Stevensville, Maryland shop that blended new manufacturing techniques with practiced quality control and workmanship to create instruments at a new price point for players. Over the last ten years, the S2 Series has grown to be more integrated into a single production line with PRS Core and Bolt-On instruments.
