Capture Natural Ukulele Tone with the K&K Aloha Twin Pickup

The Aloha Twin is an internal double-sensor pickup specially designed for the ukulele, based on the same award-winning technology as K&K’s Pure Pickup. It delivers a clear, natural ukulele tone with a strong output signal that works well even without a preamp.

Installation Options

The Aloha Twin can be installed with the supplied double-sided adhesive tape in front of the bridge plate (or directly in front of the bridge, if no bridge plate is present) on the inside soundboard. This method is non-permanent and does not require any modification to the instrument.

For a more permanent installation, the Aloha Twin can be superglued to a flat bridge plate (or directly under the bridge, if no bridge plate is present). The bridge plate must be completely flat for this method to work properly; it will not be suitable for radiused, or curved, bridge plates such as those found on some Mele ukuleles.

Tone and Preamp Options

Thanks to its strong passive output, the Aloha Twin works well even without a preamp, though overall results will depend on the quality and type of your amplification equipment. For more precise tone shaping and control, the external Pure Preamp is an ideal match, offering a clean, musical EQ section in a compact, easy-to-use format.
