The Ibanez SR785 5-string electric bass features a natural finish over a mahogany body with a spalted maple top. The 5-piece jatoba/bubinga neck has a rosewood fingerboard with medium frets and abalone inlays.

Electronics include Bartolini MK1-5-F neck and MK1-5R bridge pickups with a Bartolini MK-1 3-band EQ. The Accu-Cast B25 bridge allows for string changes and setup adjustments.
