Roy Smeck, “The Wizard of Strings”, was a popular American instrumentalist early-mid-century. This Stage Deluxe guitar featuring his name is a jumbo body with sunburst finish on a spruce top, and dark finished mahogany back and sides. Its mahogany 12-fret neck has a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with 19 inlaid fret lines. A Brazilian rectangular bridge echoes the fingerboard. The guitar has tall nut and is set-up for lap slide playing. Newer hard shell case case. Made in Kalamazoo, USA. On consignment.
