Here it is… an all-black, single-cutaway weapon that’s handcrafted in Southern California, USA by expert luthiers and designed for serious players in all genres. The USA Eclipse Black features a full-thickness mahogany body (60mm / 2 3/8”), strategically weight relieved. It is built with set-thru construction at classic 24.75” scale for smooth access to the higher frets, using a three-piece thin U-shaped mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard with 22 extra-jumbo Jescar stainless steel frets and mother-of-pearl split-flag inlays.

The USA Eclipse Black has a carefully selected set of components, including Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners, TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, Dunlop strap locks, and a bone nut. Its direct-mount pickups are Fishman’s innovative active Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker active pickups (ceramic in the bridge and alnico in the neck), with push-pull control to select voicings, and black nickel covers that match the exceptional aesthetics of this guitar. Each pickup offers two voices. With the ceramic bridge pickup, Voice 1 is the ultimate high-output ceramic humbucker bridge pickup tone… crisp, searing crunch, tight bass with no mud, and a growl. Voice 2 delivers modern passive attack performance that has superbly organic distortion characteristics with outstanding dynamics and response. The alnico neck pickup’s Voice 1 is Fishman’s modern active high-output tone, offering the ideal active alnico sound: full, round, and boosted, but with unprecedented articulation and dynamics. Voice 2 gives you the crisp, clean and fluid neck humbucker tone you’ve always wanted.

The USA Eclipse Black includes a custom ESP USA form-fitting hardshell case, and an official Certificate of Authenticity from ESP.

Graphite Neck Reinforcement Bars

Get maximum strength and stability from your guitar’s neck, with higher long-term reliability. All ESP USA models are made with two high-strength bars of carbon fiber.

Weight Relief

The ESP USA Eclipse offers a traditional full-thickness body, but is strategically weight relieved so the guitar remains comfortable and noticeably lighter than most classic single-cut body style guitars.

Stainless Steel Frets

ESP USA guitars feature Jescar FW57110 stainless steel frets for the ultimate in smooth playing feel for controlled bends and vibrato, and reliable longterm durability.
