Country Blues Guitar Book/3-CD Set

Country Blues Guitar styles span a wide horizon. In these three lessons the ideas and techniques of Rev. Gary Davis, Charley Jordan, Tommy Johnson and Mississippi John Hurt are presented. LESSON TWO: Charley Jordan’s Keep It Clean and Hunkie Tunkie Blues both played in the key of E and presenting Jordan’s unusual blues approach. Tommy Johnson’s Canned Heat played in dropped D tuning. LESSON THREE: We begin with Come Back Baby, a slow blues in A using a monotonic bass. We follow this with Mississippi John Hurt’s Monday Morning Blues also played in the key of A but using an alternating bass.
