Ernie Balls’ RPS (Reinforced Plain Strings) are similar to the standard Slinky except, the plain strings are reinforced with patent brass winding which is wrapped around the lock twist at the ball end. This creates a string that is more resistant to breaking, stays in tune better, and last longer than a traditional plain steel string.
