Exceptional tone, with sustained bass response and lively trebles. From Nazareth, PA in 1940, this D-28 features a spruce top with herringbone purfling and multi-stripe rosette, and Brazilian rosewood back and sides (and overlay), with an ebony fingerboard featuring pearl snowflake inlay. It has tortoise-plastic inlaid white bridge pins and a replacement pickguard installed. Equipped with original Grover open-gear tuners. Aging gracefully, with Martin’s unique tone preserved. Made in Nazareth, PA. Martin thermoplastic case included (old but not original). On consignment.
