The body is a modified Beard E-style of solid mahogany with open body chamber and baffle, all powered by a sand cast spider bridge & Beard spun cone, for that now classic open-body resonator guitar sound. Other features include square profile mahogany neck, translucent red-brown finish, Douglas series custom coverplate, dual open soundhole rings, fabulous dark-stained Bubinga fretboard with dot inlay & “Jerry Douglas” signature inlay, 2″ nut, 25″ scale, chrome plated hardware and hardshell case.
