The Sandberg California VT Left-Handed 4-String Electric Bass in Soft Aged Lake Placid Blue has a 6-bolt Canadian hardrock maple neck with a C-shape profile and roasted construction. The fingerboard is rosewood with a 14″ (355.6 mm) radius, 22 frets (2.5 mm), and abalone front face dot inlays. The headstock is standard.

Neck measurements include a 39.5 mm width at the zero fret, 63 mm at the 22nd fret, and 20 mm thickness at the 1st fret. The bass features a black pickguard and aged chrome Sandberg hardware. Bridge string spacing is 18.5–20 mm. Scale length is 35″ (889 mm).

Electronics consist of a Delano JMVC neck pickup, a Delano PMVC bridge pickup, and a Sandberg 2-band active/passive preamp with passive tone control.
